Matt Gerson

Matt Gerson is a Senior Policy Advisor at Revolution Growth and Principal at FocusDC. Matt has more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of business and public policy. Prior to founding FocusDC, he was an Executive Vice President at Universal Music Group, where he led the company’s interaction with the executive and legislative branches as the analog industry transitioned into the digital marketplace. Matt previously served as General Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Technology and the Law Subcommittee, where he devised strategies for and negotiated on behalf of the chairman’s legislative priorities.

Matt earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He is married with two children and is an avid skier and erratic golfer.
